A member asked:

I have heard that hpv generally clears itself in two years. if i have it past the two year mark does that mean i have no chance of clearing it at all?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Clear vs cure: The visually evident features of some HPV strains, like those that cause warts, can be burned/frozen or laser treated. They may also spontaneously clear within a few years if you have a normal immune system. The primary infection of non wart strains will also seem to clear, but all can go into hibernation and re-appear over your lifetime.
