Sounds safe now: If a woman has sex, then takes a morning-after pill, then has a normal period, and then 1.5 months later has a negative pregnancy test, she is not pregnant from that episode of sex (unless the pregnancy test was done incorrectly or read incorrectly).

Morning pill: Yes it should still work, but you still have to see if you have your period, if not you need to take a preg test 7-9 days after the last suppose lmp, and f/u with your ob/gyn.

Yes: You can start the pill at any time. If you start the pill when you start your period, then you are protected from the beginning. If you start the pill at any other time you should be on the pill for 2 weeks before having unprotected sex.
