Hemorrhoid: Blood in stool often due to hemorrhoid or anal tear/fissure. In older adults, we worry about diverticulosis & colon cancer. Painful crampy blood can be inflammatory bowel disease or ischemic colitis. But unless you engaged in anal sex, i wouldn't expect blood in stool. Besides, what's rough for one person might be gentle for someone else. Bottom line: go see your doctor for evaluation. Use condoms.
