A member asked:

What stds do doctors test for through urinalysis??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

None: A urinalysis on its own does not test for STDs. Special cultures need to be ordered. In the case of urine assays, gonorrhea and chlamydia screening and T mycoplasma/ureaplasma testing can be done. Other STDs require blood tests. If you are concerned about possible exposure, take to your doctor right away about appropriate testing.
