Hello, me and my boyfriend had sex but it wasn't painful. i have been told that means you don't have a hyman. is it possible some people aren't born with one?

Yes: Yes, it is possible that you were born without a hymen, or a hymen which was not complete. Often, girls break the hymen prior to sexual intercourse through various activities such as bike riding, vigorous exercise or tampon use.

Hymens and sex: The normal hymen is a circle of elastic tissue around the vagina opening which usually stretches to allow painless penetration. It's a myth that it needs to tear. While its possible to be born with very thin or very little hymen tissue, having painless sex doesn't mean you don't have a hymen. More likely, you're having great sex! Enjoy
