Pain on Intercourse: Go to your gynecologist to be sure there is no underlying medical problem. If not, then it is likely that the problem is caused by anxiety. Sometimes that anxiety is due to fear that you will not perform well or perhaps someone has had earlier traumatic experiences such as sexual abuse. Counseling can help if going slow and relaxing does not.
