Not sure I : understand your question. Your doctor can test you to determine if you are infected. A partner may be able to see herpetic lesions. However, you could be shedding the herpes virus even when you don't have any active lesions. PLEASE- tell any potential sexual partners if you have a herpes simplex infection. IF YOU AREN'T SURE - GET CHECKED.
