Not recommended: Transmission of herpes simplex virus (hsv) can occur quickly in new sexual relationships. Although transmission from a source female to a susceptible male is lower than vice versa, the likelihood of becoming infected increases with more sexual encounters, especially during unprotected sex. Transmission can occur even if the source has no lesions or symptoms.
