My friend used to have a plantar wart. did he have hpv and can your organism get rid of hpv on its own?

Not HPV: Plantar warts are not caused by HPV (Human Papiloma Virus) . Genital warts are caused by some strains of HPV. While we think that some people can clear HPV, most people that have HPV have it for life. There is now a vaccine that can be given to prevent HPV. In addition to genital warts some strains of HPV can cause cervical cancer.
