IImpossible: Keeping things dry in the presence of foreskin is virtually impossible since urine will also pool in the space between the glans penis and the foreskin. Do the best you can to keep it dry, but ensure you are treated systemically with an anti-viral such as Acyclovir or valacyclovir.

Moist herpes sores: Can easily become infected with bacteria or can lead to auto-innoculation on other parts of your body; so drying them is beneficial. Many remedies are suggested: witch hazel (may sting at first but then eases pain & shrinks lesions); baby powder (no corn starch unless u want fungal infxn too); baking soda; domeboro solution (powder available at drug store); hair dryer on low, cool setting.
