Yes: But not right immediately after surgery. Please follow up with your surgeon and let him /her tell you when to resume normal activity. Early heavy activity may displace mesh or disrupt the repair.

Yes: I tell all my patients after inguinal hernia surgery that they may resume normal activity as tolerated. I tell them to follow the rule that if it hurts to back off or take it easy. There are however exceptions to every rule as human beings are quite complex, so i would call your surgeon to be sure.
