Tranquilizers: Many users report lethargy, drowsiness, and dizziness after taking tranquilizers. Decreased motivation, irritability, nausea, headaches, skin rashes, impaired sexual functioning, menstrual irregularities, tremors, loss of appetite, or increased appetite, lethargy and over sedation, and vivid or disturbing dreams are all possible side effects of tranquilizer use. Depends on…: What med is being used: benzodiazepines like ativan/xanax/valium can cause drowsiness & have addictive potential; some describe effects as "being in a fog". Ssris r antidepressants also used for anxiety; some r stimulating (prozac), others sedating (paxil), others neutral (zoloft/lexapro). Some may cause weight gain; others neutral. Decreased libido, premature ejaculation seen with some. See doc.
