Medication or circ: Phimosis can be treated with steroid and antifungal creams. If the contracted part of the foreskin does not soften up sufficiently, then circumcision can be considered.

Depends on scarring: Prescription strength steroid cream applied to phimotic area twice daily for 8 - 12 weeks may work provided the foreskin opening is not scarred. Circumcision will be necessary if opening is scarred or phimosis fails to respond to steroid cream. Beware paraphimosis, where tight phimotic ring gets stuck behind penile glans. Always return foreskin back over glans to avoid paraphimosis.

No cure but help: Medical professionals have never cured anything but apply currently available knowledge, technology, drugs, procedures, commonsense, and wisdom to help patients restore their best possible inside and outside environments so the self-healing process can take place for optimal functional recovery with their own residual strength. So, the same to phimosis - try topical steroid cream...or circumcision.
