A 21-year-old male asked:
Would herpes scatter on my face like acne or would it be condensed to one side? i am having a breakout on my forehead, cheeks, chin, and beside my lips. im concerned it may not be acne.

See below: If herpes - this could be treated with Valtrex (valacyclovir) - see your doctor to confirm and treat.

Just one side ??: Blister like lesions affecting only one side of your face could be a herpes virus, the zoster virus, but it would tend to be only in one of those areas at a time. H.Simplex, the cold sore virus, can be small blisters in a cluster anywhere on your face but still tends to localize to one area.If you have eczema, some of these viruses can spread to more than one area at a time.It may be worth a visit.
