HIV: This virus will almost always be killed by enzymes in saliva. Oral sexual transmission occurs when semen containing HIV is deposited by ejaculation onto the lymphoid tissue in back of the mouth itself. I know of no evidence of transmission by vaginal fluids touching the lips or tongue. If you are negative at 27 days it is my opinion that you will remain negative, but if worried, retest in 3 mos.
