A few reasons: Sometimes the different "antibodies" (compounds in the blood or urine that bind to different proteins, etc) can turn a pregnancy test positive. The best way to know if you are truly pregnant or not is by presenting to your physician who can run a confirmatory test to better asses your pregnancy hormone level. Some other hormones also can cause that test to be falsely positive.

Cross Reaction: Lh which turns positive on ovulation kit is very similar in structure to pregnancy hormones hcg. So it is possible to have cross reactivity between the 2 tests.

Probably pregnant: There may be some cross reactivity between the ovulation kit and the home pregnancy test. If you've had, 4 positive pregnancy tests then you are likely pregnant. See a doctor and they can help you figure out how far along you are. Good luck.

Timing off: Don't bother testing 1 to 3 days after sex. Wait 14 days or until a period is missed.
