Hello. : Hello. I don't know the reason for the thick mucus in your feces. Mucus in the stool is usually a sign of intestinal inflammation. It can be caused by sensitivities or allergies to food. Other causes can include: ulcerative colitis, crohn's disease, celiac disease, diverticulitis, gastroenteritis, bowel obstruction & hemorrhoids just to mention a few. Even though you feel healthy, since this is not an isolated event, it could represent a change in bowel habitus. It is important that you advise your doctor of this change so that it can be further explored. Take care.
