Gonorrhea: Posiitve gonorrhea tests are very accurate, so for sure you were infected. But the tests miss some cases; must asssume your partner has it, even with negative tests. In 99% of situaitons like yours, one partner or the other has had other partners recently. (Sorry that's not what you hoped to hear.) He needs treatment despite negative test results, and both need tests for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia.

Partner denial of STD is very common. Likelihood that your partner cheated is overwhelming. Answer is that your partner cheated, but still wishes to have a relationship with you. It is also not uncommon for newly established sexual partners of either sex to falsely claim to be virgins. In both cases sex can be like politics, truth is questionable.

Agree with Dr. K. Another possible explanation is that your partner had an symptomatic infection, before he met you and transmitted the infection to you, without cheating on you while you have been together. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!
