You : You may be dealing with something other than a yeast infection. The only way to know for sure is to have an evaluation by your primary care provider or gynecologist. Vaginal infections including std's will be ruled out with appropriate testing. The burning you experienced after he ejaculated is likely from inflammed vaginal tissue that is very sensitive right now. On another note, you say he is a new sex partner (past 3 months) and you are obviously having unprotected sex. Did you both get tested for std's and decide to be in a monogamous relationship prior to having unprotected sex? If not, this is very important to do if you are going to have unprotected sex with someone. Also you need to be on some type of birth control if your plan is not to become pregnant. There are many options, please discuss with your doctor. Best of luck.

Recurrent yeast: Yeast infection is the most common cause of vaginal area burning, but other infections also are possible. If confirmed yeast infections, get checked for underlying conditions that make yeast more likely, especially diabetes. Taking antibiotics also can do this. If definitely yeast and no underlying problem, ask your doctor about prevention with a fluconazole pill (Diflucan) once a week.
