Several steps.: The ultrasound (us) technician will have you undress and lie on your back on the examining table. A cold us gel will be placed on the us probe, which is used in a sweeping motion across the scrotum and groin to create the images. Many standard images will be taken, along with some measurements and doppler evaluation for the radiologist to evaluate. No anesthetic is required.
