Yes but...: The probiotic medication is ok but is he ill each time? Are his throat cultures always positive for group a streptococci. Some children carry strep in their throat in low amounts and if they have a viral illness, strep may be blamed on the illness.

Probiotics are fine: I encourage you to do as you ask. These products are quite harmless & do help some kids.
