Tell her no: If she has an active lesion on her lip she can spread it to baby & that's not the way a proper grandma should behave. Don't give her the chance & report her to child protective services if she persists. I can see a child endangerment issue here & perhaps explaining her actions to a third party will wake her up.

Be Cautious! : Anyone with active herpes labilis is consider transmittable via oral/contact. Sometimes even in dormant phases can be shed as well.
