Takes awhile: If you've been on birth control for 10 years (and i assume you are now off of them), it will take several months for your body to adjust and releasing eggs. There's a good chance you'll have children.

Chances are good: Some women, but not all, have a slight delay in return to fertility after stopping the pill. If your periods were regular before you started taking the pill, chances are they'll return quickly and you'll be fertile. You should begin taking prenatal vitamins with folate (folic acid) before you conceive to prevent certain kinds of birth defects.
