I don't have a period unless i take a hormone pill like person or a birth control pill...my pituitary gland isn't telling my body to ovulate what to do?

Irregular Periods: Several reasons could lead to amenorrhea responsive to ocps. It could be pituitary ( as you mentioned); but then pituitary is further regulated by bmi, and other things like depression. Yes! short term answer is to take ocps. But you need to find the cause leading to this and your pcp or ob/gyn should be able to help you find those answers.
