I had a brain tumor and my pituitary gland removed 16 yrs ago. i take meds to get a period. do i need to be on birth control to prevent pregnancy?

No : Hi. No, you don't. Without pituitary gonadotropins (LH & FSH), you won't ovulate, so won't get pregnant. If you ever want children, pregnancy may well be possible with a fertility clinic where hormones can be given to make you ovulate. Good luck!
