Final path & stage..: Is still needed. Seminoma has a much better prognosis compared to other testicular tumors. But the final pathology of the entire testis needs to be performed; making sure there are not other types. Staging with ct scan will also be key to deciding chemo/rad. Finally, if the tumor was initially removed through an incision in the scrotum, the implications of this will need to be considered.

Tough: If they thought it was cancer, should have had a orchiectomy at diagnosis. We do not remove masses from the testicle if concern for malignancy. You will need a ct scan of the abdomen/pelvis and serum markers. Also a chest x-ray. If pure seminoma and limited to testicle, either radiation or 1 cycle of carboplatin. Ct scans first!
