What would be the better treatment for classical seminoma: radiation therapy or chemotherapy?

Depends on stage.: Stage 1 and nonbulky stage 2: radiation therapy appears preferable. Single agent Carboplatin is being looked at. Bulky stage 3 and stage 3: 4 cycles of chemotherapy with bleomycin, Etoposide and Cisplatin is standard. Stage 4: chemotherapy.

Depends on stage: Following surgery (for stage 1), either radiation therapy or chemotherapy gives excellent long term results. The side effects of both treatments are quite minimal. It's a toss up in terms of which to recommend these days. Read more here: http://www.Cancer.Gov/cancertopics/pdq/treatment/testicular/patient/page5.
