Can you get hsv-2 from eating from someone who has it ?

No: Herpes virus cannot be transmitted from food utensils or food. Herpes is spread by skin to skin contact where an open sore is secreting the virus, or it is actively being shead (as with the cervix of the uterus).

Agree with Dr. C: You are unlikely to get HSV by accepting food from some one who has it. However if you have skin to skin contact with the genitals, HSV can be transmitted, even if there are no visible lesions.
