Clarification: Pid is a specific condition only found in women. It describes an inflammatory process of the uterus/tubes and may involve the ovaries. Males can not have pid. Now, the bacteria that may cause pid could be transmitted between partners. Some are forms of stds, like gonorrhea/chlamydia. If you think you are at risk to get an std, you can have your urine checked at a md office or county health dept.
