A member asked:

Should birth control (orthocyclen) and condom use be mutually exclusive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ok to use both: Despite a woman using bc pills, there are advantages to condom use. Main reason is for std prevention. Additionally, there is nothing wrong using condoms as "backup" bc. These are not exclusive options. Bc pills taken correctly are very good protection from pregnancy, but some patients do use condoms anyway for piece of mind.
