Absolutely NOT: Despite growing familiarity with so-called "extended cycle" birth control pill regimens, many women still instinctively question whether it is safe to skip periods on the pill. There is no scientific evidence whatsoever of any harmful effects from going months without bleeding. I think this is because many women are taught as girls that the period is nature's way of "cleaning out" the system.
