BCP and ETOH: The effectiveness of birth control pills is not impacted by alcohol but the hormones in the pills can reduce the liver's ability to metabolize ethanol and this leads to higher blood alcohol levels and intensifies the effects of drinking. You should be careful when drinking and probably drink less than when you are off the pills.
