Same: These are different brand names for Norethindrone 35 mcg, which is a Progesterone only pill for contraception. The rate of failure when used perfectly (no missed pills) is about 1 in 200 in the first year compared to a rate of about 1/1000 with birth control pills that contain estrogen and progesterone. More effective Progesterone only contraceptive choices are the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud or implanon.
