KnowYourPartner!!!: Gonorrhea is a very impatient bugger. It won't wait to make you miserable if you're a man (2-5 days), longer if a woman: up to a couple of weeks, unless it starts spreading further. But you should feel something after a while( discomfort, discharge, weird smell). Rarely it sneaks up into the bloodstream to cause fever, joint pains and a rash. but, dormant for a "couple of years?" No.

No not possible: It is almost impossible to contact Gonorrhea from Toilet seat. And no Gonorrhea can not lay dormant for couple of years and then become active
