How long to wait before having sex after bilateral salpingectomy ?

7 days: A laparoscopic bilateral salpingectomy usually involves dilating the cervix and placing a manipulator inside the uterus. Sex too soon--before the cervix has a chance to close--can result in a uterine infection. Also, it can be painful to have intercourse too soon after surgery on the tubes because they will move during intercourse. 7-10 days should be sufficient. Don't do anything that hurts.

2 weeks: Considering the healing of the wound margins that the salpingectomy created you want to wait at least 2 weeks.
