Not necessarily : The cyst can be the cause for the pain and the fluid can be due to leakage or rupture of a cyst and the cyst could be a functional cyst ( follicle or corpus luteum) with goes along with ovulation. On the other hand, you could have an infection or endometriosis. The amount of fluid and the characteristics of the cyst matter. Your doctor who ordered the ultrasound is the best one to interpret this.
