Inside the scrotum: Testicular cancer typically develops in one or both testicles in young men. If found early, it is a highly treatable and usually curable type of cancer. Monthly self-exam of the testicles is an effective method for finding testicular cancer early. The testicles are inside of the scrotal sac. However, anything out of the ordinary down there should prompt a visit to a doctor.
