Missed pills: People say if you miss pills you'll get pregnant based on the assumption that the woman is fertile to begin with. If, for example, a woman's fallopian tubes a blocked from scarring after untreated chlamydia infection, but she does not know, she might take birth controll pills that she would not need to take to begin with.
