Get tested!!!: HIV can present with no symptoms to extreme. If you have never had sex, you are unlikely to have contracted the disease. Assuming you are sexually active, you should get tested. Depending on the specific test used, the disease may be detected from 2 weeks and up to 3 months after infection. See your physician, if you don't have, one go to a sexually transmitted infection or walk-in clinic.

Get tested for HIV: The only way to know for sure is to get tested forhiv if you're concerned. There are no telltale signs of HIV infection. In fact, many people have no symptoms whatsoever, until their HIV becomes advanced and then they get sick, which may take several years. If you are sexually active, the recommendations are to get an HIV test yearly, although i recommend every 6 months if you are at higher risk.

Have a test.: To determine if someone is HIV infected, a laboratory test is most often performed. Most doctors offices, hospitals, clinics, etc... Will provide this type of testing. Generally, this testing is performed off of blood drawn from a vein.
