HPV/sex: Only with protection; better yet, any obvious lesions should be addressed/treated. And even, thereafter, you should consider always wearing a condom for your partner's and your own safety.

Sex with HPV: For active HPV infection, inform new partners and decide together. Most HPV is asymptomatic and remains harmless. Most people have already been infected; sex with another infected partner may not matter to them. Others have been vaccinated. Regular partners should NOT stop sex if one has a new HPV diagnosis, like abnormal pap smear or new warts; the other has already been repeatedly exposed.
