Costochondritis: without an exam, I can only give general information, but costochondritis (irritaiton of the joints where the ribs join the sternum) is very common and has those symptoms. would NOT think cardiac etiology at all likely.

It could be: spasm of muscles of your chest wall from anxiety. Try moist heat or advil (ibuprofen) and see if that helps
