Need more info: How old is your girl? If she is a minor, she needs an thorough evaluation of why and how she is getting HSV 2 in the genital area.

Oral antiviral meds: like acylovir and valcycovir may reduce the duration of symptoms if taken at first sign of an outbreak, but taken on a prophylactic basis may reduce the frequency of outbreaks.
