Several causes: Bacterial vaginosis and yeast are the two most common vaginal infections. Both can look yellow. Sexually transmitted diseases like trichomoniasis, chlamydia and gonorrhea are also possibilities. Yellow discharge is not normal and needs to be evaluated.
