Get treated: You are only 17.Bilateral varicoceles with large on left can cause testicular atrophy and infertility. It is unclear how this happens but it is postulated that increase pressure in the veins causes testicular damage. Talk to your parents.Good luck.

Yes: There is a group of small blood vessels in the scrotum. These vessels drain the blood from the testes The name of this grouping of vessels is called the pampiniform plexus and is used to regulate the temperature inside the scrotum. If this becomes tortuous it does not function and . the temperature rises and the testes do not function. If the vessels enlarges that is called a varicocele.
