Yes you can: this should be fine especially if you have already progressed to soft foods or have taken other pain relievers such as tylenol (acetaminophen) or tylenol (acetaminophen) with codeine - a good rule is to avoid aspiring and medications like Ibuprofen as well.

Depends...: In general, yes, you can swallow birth control pills after tonsillectomy. You may be limited by discomfort, however. If you can swallow water, you should be able to swallow a birth control pill. Use a lot of water to try to wash it down. If you have difficulty or are still anxious about it discuss it with your surgeon. Take care and stay healthy!
