(epididymo)orchitis: Pain in the testes suggests the possibility of infection/inflammation of the testes, epididymis, or both. A muscle layer in the scrotum, the cremaster, serves to raise or lower the testes to try to maintain a temperature good for the production of sperm. Fever will cause the scrotum to lower. Since you have pain, you should see your fp/urologist to find out the cause. May be an std.
