If she has no : Sores on her lips then there is little chance of transmission . Have you ever has a cold sore in your mouth anytime in your life? If so then you have it too already . 80% of people carry the herpes simplex I virus that causes cold sores.

Orally transmitted: Oral herpes is transmitted through a kiss, a cough in one's face, sharing a glass or similar. For the most part you can recognize if someone has a sore on their lips or mouth, but it can be hidden somewhat. The incubation period is in the 3-10 day range, so you'll know soon if you've gotten it from her.
