Monillia Infection: When a female is given antibiotic it is not rare that she will develop an fungus overgrowth in the vaginal vault. Normal in vaginal canal are many organisms. They are kept in balance by the other organisms. When you take antibiotics you kill off many good bacteria along with the bad and then Monilla fungus grows wild. Your doctor can prescribe a pill to take one time to correct.
