May be folliculitis: Based on your description it could be a case of folliculitis or staph/strep infection - I would go see your family doctor, dermatologist or gyn to be sure.

Herpes: You need to see your gynecologist. It seems like Herpes, but have to be examined for definite diagnosis. It resolves with antivirals such as Valtrex (valacyclovir) which is a prescription medicine! Good luck!

Get treatment now!: Both Drs Okamoto and Nouri's concerns are valid. Herpes infection consists of tiny 1-2mm fluid filled blisters called vesicles that leave sores at skin level when they burst. It doesn't just itch, it is extremely painful. The sooner you treat the better. In folliculitis the bumps are more pimple like leave crators and follow hair patterns. HPV causes solid flesh colored warts that dont change.
