Can hpv be transmitted through semen? can any docs explain?

Dr. James Lin answered

No reason to ...: Semen itself is not the medium to transmit HPV since HPV has been only known infecting skin or mucosa and different from other STD-related infections such as HIV, hepatitis-B & C, etc. But sexual intercourse may transmit via skin contact, which does not mean the contacted will contract it depending on personal immune defense ability. Largely, the odd to contract HPV after contact is about 15%.
